The boy followed her out the back of the house where a few training dummies and targets were set up. "The shield it self blocks everything physical. A chakra reinforced strike should theoretically be blocked by it as well but I've yet to really experiment with it that far. I know it doesn't block chakra or even elements because Shinpo through a cup of water at me through it one time. The sleep seal was developed by my father. I found a detailed scroll on the matter which I was able to recreate through much study." Having made it outside Taki walked up to a dummy and hit it with her full force. The dummy took the hit before righting itself. "Okay so that was a normal hit. Can you tell me what is different about this one?"
Focusing her chakra into a seal she punched the same dummy. Instead of being moved back like it did before four black seal marks appeared in it's spot.

Yuuka bit his lip, eyeing the seal and the dummy. The lack of movement despite being hit by a physical strike implied that the energy had to go somewhere- and the fact that the seals appeared implied the energy went into the seals. “The seal stores kinetic energy?” he guessed, “Unless it’s transporting the energy to a second seal, but it would have to be somewhere else, if that's the case.” Now that raised the question of if it did, was energy lost when it traveled from one seal to the other, if such a thing were possible.

"Right, the seal stores the force of the punch. All of the kinetic energy gathered there is stored there. By doing this." Holding one hand to her chest with her index and middle finger pointing up. Like the ram handseal without the other hand. "Sayonara." The dummy moved like it did the first time having taken the force of the punch later. "It's pretty cool what I can do with this one." Once again she punched the dummy in the head while it barely moved and the black seal returned. Instead of backing away though she hit the same spot four more times. After this she stepped a bit further back and unleashed the seal. "Sayonara." The dummy's head exploded as the force of all five punches was released at once.

Yuuka watched the dummy’s head explode, and winced as he thought of what that would look like if it was done to a living flesh-and-blood person. “I guess one bonus of the seal being remotely activated is that you don’t get covered in any of the... Well mess.” He nibbled on the knuckle of one of his fingers, adding, “And this way as long as you make contact with the seal, the person will be hard pressed to get away, which is a problem with paper seals.”
One that he really needed to find a way around, in fact, outside of ‘put them on everything.’ Maybe if he got fast enough, he could literally apply the paper seals on people?

The woman dropped her hand feeling a little exhausted. She had expunged quite a deal of her chakra for her day off. Stepping back from the dummy she gestured towards the other few. "Show me what you've got Yuuka." She went to lean up against the house as Shinpo ran outside to watch the young boy. "I do like to stay clean haha." Shinpo whispered to Taki to which she scolded him. Getting in trouble was not one of the things Shinpo liked to do.

Yuuka ducked his head, a bit embarrassed about the sudden attention, but given that Taki had been kind enough to show him the seals she used, he could return the favor, at least. He bit down on his knuckle, asking nervously, “Can you not tell anyone about them? I only have two that are really, well, mine right now, and I don’t want any one to steal the idea. These are kinda, well they’re to prove that something I want to do is possible.”
He blushed as he realized he had basically been babbling, ducking his head as he tossed a Suikaryuu Fuuin towards one of the remaining dummy. Forming a snake seal, the seal produced a stream of water, three inches wide, and very pressurized given that it bent the dummy back a fair amount.
He palmed a Kuudenkumo Fuuin, hesitating before tossing the seal well away from the dummies, on a patch of plain sand. He activated the seal, which was engulfed in a cloud of static which hung in the air, crackling audibly. “Not exactly the best thing to put that one on wood, especially not trees,” He mumbled, explaining, “Wood tends to, uhm... Explode when exposed to electricity. Found that out in person.”
He shifted, fidgeting uncertainly as he waited for the opinions of the other two Uzumaki.

Astonished Taki didn't really know what to say. Shinpo on the other hand was very excited. "Ohhhhhhh that was so cool!!!" Running up to the dummy he put his hands on it after which they came away wet. "Wow!" Running back to Yuuka he put his hands all over the boys legs making them slightly wet. "Shinpo that's no way to treat a guest!" Scolding the boy once again she walked up to him to which he ran away from her calling out. "He isn't a guest. He is family. That so doesn't count!" Taki smiled at the boy's acceptance of Yuuka. "I must say that's quite a feat you have there. Two different elements and only a Genin. I gather that they aren't affinty related and that you managed to create a sealing formula that changes chakra into an element." Taki was heavily impressed by what the boy could do at such a young age. "Your secret is safe with me Yuuka." Smiling from ear to ear Taki even laughed a little.

Yuuka ducked his head, smiling Shinpo’s excitement, then blushed at the boy calling him family. He nodded at Taki’s summary of what the seal did, feeling warmed and embarrassed by the praise, adding, “The next idea is to try to come up with some sort of seal that can convert neutral chakra into Elemental chakra that can be used for jutsu specifically. I’d have to get the control to needed to run the chakra through the array without burning it out, but the idea is that, long term, I would be able to use jutsu without having to take the time practicing how to convert it inside my body.”

"So instead of converting chakra inside your body. You want to convert it outside of your body?" Taki thought that would be a neat trick to have. Smiling at the boy's abilities Taki made to move back inside. "Well I have to put Shinpo's dinner on. You are welcome to stay of course but I understand if you are expected home." Taki called out to Shinpo to ask what he would like for dinner. Replying with Ramen she shook her head and told him they didn't have the ingredients. To this he responded with barbecued pork. "Now that we have. That's what we will be having Yuuka, as I said you are welcome to join us."

He bit his lip, clarifying, “I guess so, in a way- I guess it would be using the seal as a conduit in a manner of speaking.” He placed his hand on the back of his neck, before admitting, “I... Wouldn’t mind sticking around, but I need to go home to help kaa-san with some stuff, and wrangling Kazuki for dinner and bed.” He scuffed his foot, before asking hesitantly, “Would it, uhm... Would it be okay if I came by sometime, if I had some questions? If it’s not, I can understand, so...”

"You are welcome anytime Yuuka. Don't scuff my floors or I will make you clean them though." Making eye contact with the boy she winked before laughing happily. "I'm kidding Yuu-chan go go. Give my thanks to your mother for the Kimono will you." Looking back at the Kimono on the table she walked Yuuka to the door. Taking the Kimono to her room she put it somewhere safe. Before returning to the kitchen to begin the pair's meals.

Yuuka gave a shy smile at the woman at the pet name, stepping over to the entrance and nudging his sandals on as Taki went to do something- probably putting the kimono up. He made his way home, the warm feeling lingering despite the few relatives that were about eyeing him as he passed.
He could tell that his mother was eyeing him with some amusement over dinner, which was quiet, with Kazuki being half asleep in his somen, having run himself ragged about the house-literally after Suiyou had set him to running laps around the house following a shelf being knocked to the floor, apparently.
“Have a good visit, Yuu-chan?”
He nodded, replying, “For once? I actually did.”
