Yuuka stared at the door to the house that his mother had given him the address of, the package she had asked him to deliver under one arm. Really, he was hoping that this relative didn’t scowl at his prescence, even though it meant they didn’t have to take time away from training or other activities in order to pick up... Whatever they had asked his mother to make.
He sighed, knocking on the door, calling, “Delivery from Uzumaki Suiyou to Uzumaki Taki!” He shifted in his feet, running a hand through his white hair as he hoped the person was home and thus would answer the door before he got overheated from the desert noon sun.

On Taki's day off she had managed to clean her house while simultaneously babysit Shinpo and create some form of new meal she was interested in. Dressed in a simple blue shirt and black shorts her hair was styled as it usually was over her left shoulder. The knock on the door startled her a little with which Shinpo ran towards it. Stepping into the hallway as Shinpo opened the door to a small white haired boy with a package under one arm and his other hand in his white hair. "Oh you must be Yuuka. Please come in. Shinpo welcome our guest politely please."
"Hello. Yuuka, i'm Shinpo, my daddy is the Kabe . . . Kazekage!"
Taki shook her head in disbelief at the young child's antics. "That must be the Kimono I ordered." Gesturing for the boy to come in she wiped her hands on her shorts before pulling on a set of gloves that were sitting on the table.

Yuuka bowed, his face blank, as he stepped into the house, feeling decidedly awkward. This was the first time he could remember that he had been invited in and it hadn't been because the person had to because of some complex social reason. “I would believe it to be?” He stated as he toed off his sandals, although it came out a great deal more like a question.
Oh, yay, he was near the Kazekage’s kid. Hopefully he didn't do anything to offend the kid, because he did not want the leader of the village any more against him than he might already be. “Kaa-san said that to tell you that the order placed for Shinpo would take a little longer because the dye needed to set.” He informed her, eyeing the gloves she was donning, wondering what she was doing that required them

"That's perfectly ok. Shinpo's order can wait." Noticing the boy eyeing off her gloves she held her hands up in a gesture of surrender. "Don't be alarmed. I wear them out of habit. They were my fathers. Your mother actually adjusted them to fit my hands." Moving to take a seat at the table she motioned for him to take the other. Hoping to see the Kimono she looked towards the box the boy still held. "Show me what magnificent work your mother has concocted this time." Smiling from ear to ear Taki watched as Shinpo lost interest like he usually did and went off to do something that would keep him occupied for the next few minutes. Children and their short attention spans Taki thought to herself.

Yuuka relaxed somewhat at the woman’s explanation of what the gloves were for, and rather than take the seat, he nodded as he opened the box, taking out the kimono. He unfolded it and held it up, showing the kimono to the her. The kimono was two layered, with the first layer being semi transparent, the image of a violet waterfall cascading down it, which combined with the blue layer beneath, gave the impression of the water actually cascading, an illusion that would be more apparent when the wearer moved. The plants around the base of the water fall, less see through than the water, were also given the illusion of movement, almost seeming to be rustled by wind. He held it up long enough for the woman to see if, before folding it back up and placing it on the table.
“Kaa-san said to tell you that it should hold up, as in not tear, even if you had to watch Shinpo while wearing it.” He mumbled, shifting his weight. “But she said she couldn’t guarantee the pattern would survive that.”

Taki's eyes were glued to her new Kimono. The Kazekage had payed for it for a secret special occasion which he wouldn't mention to her what it was about. He only told her to expect it while he was away. The pattern was elegant and Taki immediately loved the garment. Standing up gently took the Kimono off him and held it to herself as she looked down at it. After a moment or two she placed it neatly in the box, her eyes gleaming. "Thank you so much! Tell your mother I love it dearly. Shinpo won't be getting anywhere near this thing. Oh here I am scolding Shinpo when I forget my manners. Can I get you a drink or something to eat?"

He smiled at bit at how much Taki seemed to like the kimono- people could say what they wanted about him, but they really loved him mother’s sewing. He blinked at the offer, once again put off by the fact this woman seemed to ignore what basically the entire rest of the clan seemed incapable of.
He started to open his mouth to ask why? but what came out, instead, was, “Do you have anything cold to drink?” He sighed mentally at his brain refusing to say what he wanted, looking away from Taki as he bit his lip. He would have to try again, it seemed.
He cleared his throat. “Actually, more than that, I have a question. You... Seem to be overlooking something that most of the clan seems to hold against me. May I ask why?” He asked, tracing a pattern in the swirls and whirls of the wood table. He refused to admit that his voice sounded at all sad, or pleading rather than questioning.

As the boy had asked for a drink Taki had moved to a cupboard withdrawing from it a cup. When the younger Uzumaki delivered his question Taki was shocked for a moment. The cup fell. As it fell Taki watched it go. Snapping her arm down she caught it using her speed. Placing it down on a bench she moved to grab a cool drink for him speaking as she went. "First of all. Your mother's decisions where not yours. You should not be held responsible for any awkward circumstances surrounding your birth. It's nobody's place to judge you on the possible wrong doings of your mother. Second of all I don't see the point of ostracizing you when you clearly share the same blood as me. As you mother and brother. Even Shinpo and The Kazekage himself. Shomei is a gentle man and would not be happy if he caught anyone ostracizing you. If I wer to witness it those people would be very sorry." Taki handed the boy his cup of cold water. "If anyone gives you grief just remind them of what blood runs in your veins. If they still don't listen send them my way." Upon saying this last statement she bumped her fists together causing the metal bars to clang together.

Yuuka stared at Taki, wide-eyed at her speech, which was the first time someone had defended the circumstances around his birth, at least to his face. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, scrambling for something to say to that, the end result being a weak sounding, “Oh.”
He took the glass of water blankly sipping it before setting it on the table. He blinked, realizing his vision had blurred somewhat, and scrubbed at his eyes embarrassed by the fact he had evidently been about to cry of all things! Even if this person seemed to make an exception, the last thing he needed was to start crying around people. She had literally just met him, and while she obviously knew his mother at least casually, that couldn’t be the sole reason she would speak as passionately as she had on the matter. He wondered how serious the woman was about her unstated, but implied statement of ‘correcting’ anyone who thought otherwise.
He cleared his throat, looking away, scrambling for a change in subject, the first thing that came to mind being, “What does the metal in your gloves do?"

Observing the boy Taki noticed he was at a loss for words. Not to mention he seemed like he was about to cry. Ignoring that she answered the boy's question. "Well as a fellow Uzumaki you should understand this when I say they are a medium for my sealing. My father used them. His Taijutsu was one of the best. He simply used them as bit more of a weapon whereas I channel my sealing through them for battle. Wanna see something cool?" Not really waiting for an answer Taki stepped back before taking a breath. "Wakamono no moeru ken." With this the girl fist bumped her self like she did before. As the fists connected the erupted with a blue flame. Shinpo had come racing out of his room when he had heard Taki say the words.
"The outside of the flame is it's hottest point. While my hands only feel a slight raise in temperature. This is my newest Jutsu. I have others though this one is the .... Flashiest." Shinpo's eyes where the size of dinner plates as he stared at the fire.

Gloves as a sealing medium? That was interesting. With something like that, she would, theoretically, be able to place seals on the body in the middle of combat, and the person would likely not know unless the effects became obvious. “So... The seals are formed by how you manipulate the shape of your chakra against the metal? Or does it work somehow else? Would you be able to make an effect like that with other elements?” He asked rapidly, relieved that the subject was something that he was decent with, and that was less likely to result in him embarrassing himself.
“Like.. Could you use Earth to strengthen the impact of your strikes? Or to shatter metal?” He asked, standing up to eye the flame from a respectable distance- blue was one of the hottest kinds of fire, and he did not want to get too close to it. “Can you use them to leave seals on people? If so, are they visible, or are they invisible without some sort of ability to see chakra?”

"Her other seals are mean!" Shinpo ran back to his room before Taki could showcase them for the new guest. Thinking about the barrage of questions she had just been asked she smiled believing she had found a focal point for their future conversations. "I focus the chakra towards the metal. It's basically more of a safety thing really. By having a focus point I don't waste any chakra or mess up the seal. The mark left is made of chakra much like the seals I'm sure you use. Depending on the seal it will either fade away as it wears off or it lasts quite a while. I have only tried with fire because it's my natural affinty." The fire flickered out as the girl grabbed another cup and some cold water for herself before continuing. "Although that sounds like a reasonable idea for a jutsu."
"So far I have several different seals that I use regularly. A few are focused on affecting the targets brain making them woozy or winded without actually being hurt that much. Then on the other hand I can .... Here punch this." Sending both her fists forward she channeled her chakra into the required seal. A large black Kanji for Protect appeared in midair before her.

He tilted his head at the barrier, prodding the seal first, only mildly surprised when his finger met resistance. Yuuka tapped the seal harder, before punching the seal, not hard enough to do any harm to himself when his hand impacted the seal. “Does it absorb the energy? Or is it dispersed into the surrounding air? Does it absorb chakra?”
He rapped his knuckle on the seal one last time, noting the faint sense of... Something with the contact. He was... Well, relieved, to find someone that saw more use in seals than just storing things and making things go boom, let alone someone who was willing to talk shop with him about them.

"The harder you strike it the more of your chakra it drains. Though it's purely a physical barrier and can't stop chakra. The one I probably use most is the one I use on Shinpo. It puts them to sleep straight away. Very useful for misbehaving kids. Come out the back if you don't have anywhere else to be today, I can show you a few different ones if you like." Motioning towards the back door Taki moved towards it while also waiting for Yuuka to respond. She was enjoying spending time with the boy and seeing his eyes light up at the mention of offensively used seals. Shinpo stuck his head around the corner while poking his tongue out at the mention of his name.

“I’d really like that!” Yuuka blurted, blushing at the sudden out burst, but following Taki to the back door, suppressing his excitement into a slight bounce in his step as he followed her out into the back yard of the house. Excited, he asked, “How does the barrier react to chakra? And what about chakra reinforced strikes? Would it just take chakra equivalent to the amount of force used, or the amount used in reinforcing the blow, and the amount equivalent to force? And the seal that puts people to sleep- did you make it or is it one you were taught by your parents?”
