Doku is a lazy person and always has been. This is what got him into puppetry in the first place. By making the puppet do the hard work Doku was free to be lazy. Apart from being lazy Doku has a habit of thinking of new people he meets as puppets. While the person introduces themselves Doku is thinking about the puppetry work he could do to their bodies. Also being a medical genius he likes watching people get hurt because he can picture how to fix them.

Doku Has light brown hair that is quite shaggy in appearance. However his hair is flattened beneath his identifying black beanie he constantly wears. Wearing a dark brown top he usually has a white jacket that he wears over the top. His jacket is kept open however he will zip it up if the weather calls for it. Doku often wears a pair of long black pants that he mainly wears out of comfort. After growing up with wearing no shoes he usually is seen without them. Although he will put some on for a formal occasion.

Shitai no Kisu is a slow acting poison that completely shuts down the body's muscle and nerve systems. While it lets the infected live, their bodies become completely relaxed. No pain is felt by the person poisoned with this as the nerves are completely dulled to the pain. While the poison is slow to act it can completely paralyze a full grown man with a single drop. This poison can only be extracted using the Saikan Choushutsu no Jutsu - Delicate Illness Extraction Technique. If the poison is not extracted the average human body will start to feel it wear off after 12 hours.

This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Basically all ninja know this technique.

This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. Then, using a scalpel, an incision is made into the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin then draws out the agent, while simultaneously repairing the damage it caused.



After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine, which can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis and incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.

This is a ninja escape technique that allows the user to control how light is reflected around their body with chakra inflections. The technique also erases the user's scent and shadow, and is usable on any terrain. Perceiving the user's position is impossible with normal eyes, and only special eyes like Sharingan and Byakugan can see through it.

While some may see it as "Superhuman Strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate and minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

The Puppet Technique is a unique ninjutsu fighting style; this jutsu uses strings of chakra to control puppets like marionettes. Any number of chakra strings can be used to control a puppet, but users with more skill can use fewer strings per puppet. Since most puppeteer use his or her hands to manipulate the puppets, if their hands are disabled, then the technique can be neutralized. Also, while controlling the puppet, the user is wide open if the opponent bypasses the puppet. For this reason, puppeteers avoid hand to hand battle, relying almost exclusively on their puppets instead.

The origins of this technique lie on the battlefield. When a puppet user's puppets where all destroyed, they would begin using corpses. To perform this technique with a living person requires both parties to trust each other deeply.

This technique creates a stream of high-velocity wind containing dust particles, capable of decimating anything caught in it in only a matter of moments. When Doku was bought into this world the birthing took it's toll on his mother. Having caught an infection due to complications, Doku's mother grew ill before eventually passing away. Doku's father loved his wife more then anything else in the world and he began to blame Doku for poisoning his beloved. This lead to his father referring to him as Doku.

After his mother passed away his father sank into a depression which eventually turned his friends against him. The man became an alcoholic and eventually turned on his only son when the boy was 4. The man had bought some poison from the emporium and planned to have it look like a murder. However intelligence wasn't exactly his strong suit.

Doku's uncle saw through his brother in-laws ploy and confronted the alcoholic. Doku's father and uncle ended up having a fight and the poison vial broke. The poison killed both of them and Doku was left alone.  An elderly couple that lived near Doku ended up taking the young boy in. Raising them with the wisedom of their age they never once lied to the young boy. When Doku grew up he showed excellent promise as a ninja. Showing a rare expertise in chakra control the young boy became an early practitioner of medical ninjutsu.

A very lazy Doku somehow managed to create his own form of poison during his time with the elderly couple. After showing them his creation he occasionally used on them to help them sleep at night. Their happiness caused from this made Doku happy as well and proud of what he had done. 

The elderly lady taught him everything he knows about medical ninjutsu and the elderly man was a puppet master. Between the two of them they raised an excellent ninja advanced at both puppetry and medical ninjutsu. Recently though the couple passed away and left Doku without a family once again. Leaving their house he set about trying to survive in this world of dangerous shinobi.
