Kigen stood upside down from a large tree. The tree in question was an ancient thing. The foliage covered a very large area. The trunk itself was rather large standing atop a rise in the earth. Travelers used the thing like a beacon. The landmark was known by many however today Kigen stood holding onto the mighty plant using the chakra control to keep him attached.
The swordsman's eyes focused on a single leaf. The leaf had a slightly brownish hue to it and Kigen knew it would be the first to fall this season. Kigen had come across the leaf during his journey and had decided to watch it fall. The redheaded shinobi had waited two days undisturbed resting briefly to eat and sleep. To his luck the leaf had not fallen while he slept. The man wished to witness the leaf's journey before continuing to make his own.
Today seemed different though. Today he could sense the presence of someone watching with him. Or perhaps watching him. Either way he refused to miss this leaf's fall. Hopefully the stranger would let his leaf fall before he acted.
