Mitsu double checked the meeting location on the mission scroll, before confirming that the overly-pretty faced man, was in fact the client. 'Wonder if his personality is as nice as his face. Probably not.' He hummed, eyeing the name of the other shinobi assigned to the mission. 'Arufa Ookami, hmm? How interesting that we'll be meeting again~. Saves me the trouble of hunting him down to ask about whether he feels any different since I used Kaifuku on him...' He stowed the scroll in a pouch, double checking that all his equipment was in place, before hopping down from the rooftop to in front of the man.
The man shrieked, cowering in a ball on the ground "HIEEEE! NOT THE FACE!"
Mitsu stared at the man, a bemused expression on his face for a moment, before he shook his head before smiling and reassuring the man, "Maa~, no need to worry about me damaging your face. You're paying me to protect it, after all. Well, and the rest of you."
The man looked up from his cowering, then began beaming, "Shinobi-san! I am glad that you understand the importance of this job! You likely already know this, but my name is Kouyou Kin! I am the top actor in all of Mizu no Kuni!"
He resisted the urge to sigh, instead introducing himself, "Aa, really~? Afraid I don't watch many performances, Kouyou-san. I spend most of my time otherwise busy. Anyway...I am Genzen Mitsu, Jounin and Medic of Enmugakure."
The man seemed disappointed by his lack of knowledge of theater, then jumped to his feet and began to sparkle, "A medic! This shinobi village truly appreciates the importance of protecting my beauty for future performances!"
Mitsu really hoped this guy wasn't always so exuberant about his face...It would quickly get either overwhelming or annoying...or both. "A-aa... Uhm, we simply need to wait for the other shinobi, then we can leave early, if you would like?"
"Yosh! I see no reason not to hurry on this task the moment that my other protector arrives!"

Rising from the shadows, Arufa began walking forward through the village gates, only saying "Let's go, then."
After about an hour of travel, the man sat in the carriage as Arufa and Mitsu walked ahead of them, only by about 15 feet. The sun was setting and the mist was rising, reminding Arufa of the assassination he completed at 12, involving a pie, three midgets, and a very angry pigeon. Blinded by his reminiscing, Arufa jumped awake when he noticed a slight shift in the trees above then, raising Arufa's guard. Fearing an attack, Arufa began searching for any other signs of foul play. Quickly scanning his environment, he noticed footprints in the muddy path and a fire tag 10-20 metres ahead. Instructing the carriage to stop, he drew his crossbow and aimed at the tag, exploding it, safely. Reloading his crossbow, he began informing Mitsu of the pending danger, but before he could finish, a bandit, no older than Arufa, jumped from the tree, meeting Arufa's bolt in the air.

Mitsu listened vaguely to the actor as he babbled on about his various performances, the plots of them, the size of the crowds, how popular he was, and all the 'pleasurable company' it earned him. He made noises to keep the man talking- hey it made the man happy to talk, and easier to manage, thus, so why not- but otherwise diverted most of his attention to watching the surroundings and his teamate. He saw Arufa tense as he scanned back across the road, and shushed the actor before beginning to call out to ask what the younger shinobi had sensed, only to be cut off as he heard rustling from the trees above him.
He leaped back as a large man descended from a tree, a powerful drop kick cratered the hard packed earth of the road where the medic had stood. He bared his teeth as he met the swing of a a katana with a swipe of one of his knuckle busters, steel on steel ringing out in the woods as he was shoved back nearly a foot, pain lancing up his arm. A moment of manipulating his chakra, and he spat out a Suiton: Teppoudama, causing the man to swear and try to jerk free of their locked blades- a twist of his wrist jerked the blade free of the bandit's(?) hand, sending it skittering into the brush of the woods.
The man snarled, attempting to deliver a punch that likely would have put Mitsu on his back, had it connected. Fortunately, the man was slow, for all that he was unholy strong, and Mitsu not only dodged under the blow, but returned with his own, slicing towards the man's throat. The man sneered, leaning back enough to dodge chakra conductive steel- but not enough to dodge the razor sharp chakra, owed to the Hien technique, extending from the blade. Blood poured -splattered- from the slit throat, even as the man futilely grasped at his throat, coating the medic's hand and blade, splattering on his feet and the road.
Forty five seconds, all told, was the length of the confrontation, and he moved on to the next, dropping his heeling into the back of a woman's neck as she ran, screeching, towards Arufa. She dropped, head bent back at an unnatural angle, and didn't move again. He checked on the carriage, finding it undisturbed, and the actor whimpering in fear, but otherwise unharmed withing. He looked towards his younger ally in the brief lull, checking on how his companion was doing.
