Arufa awoke in the middle of the night with cold sweats and a shout. He once again had the dream of his mother sacrificing herself. While washing his hands for the thirteenth time, he noticed a peculiar scroll on his counter. Opening the scroll from the Water Diaymo, it appeared it was a A-ranked mission paying 200,000, and was what Arufa did best, assassinating. He sighed, then went back to his room and got dressed in his normal outfit. He then stood on the top of his roof as his golden breast piece was illuminated by the moon, showing it's every detail. He then put his crossbow on his back and his cloak on his head and went off.

Arufa began his search by locating the last known location of him, Hoshigakure, a small fishing village. Due to the recentness of the attack, many of the villagers were still in disarray. Arufa approached and questioned a few, who pointed him in the direction of the man. Arufa thanked them with his address, in case they ever had need of him. Following the path, Arufa was lead into an ice bridge with an extremely thick mist that had a large clearing cut right through it. It seems this nukennin was not as smart as he seemed. However, while crossing the ice bridge, Arufa noticed a shadow running away and sprinted full speed in persuit.

After a few milliseconds, Arufa was running at his top speed. It's a surprise he didn't slip on the ice, but he didn't overthink it as he chased the silhouette. As the shadow led him into a misty bamboo forest, he looked towards the ground, observing his steps. When he looked up, he noticed that the shadow was gone, and now a wire now laid slightly above the ground. Being at full speed, Arufa carried his full momentum, flying in the air and then smacking his ribcage on a tree, leaving bruised and obviously broken bones. As he stood to wrap his ribcage, he saw the nukennin he had been hunting, holding a knife to his face.

Arufa's grey eyes seemed almost white in the moonlight. They even seemed luminescent. However, any light his eyes possessed was in danger, as the nukennin stood directly in front of him, with a knife held to his throat. Swallowing whatever he had in his throat, Arufa studied the man. The rugged, black hair and green eyes made Arufa sure, this was the man he was hunting.
"Who are you? Why are you following me?" the man said. Arufa was thinking of a lie, but the man held the knife directly on his throat, causing a bit of blood to fall and Arufa to grind his teeth a bit. "I am Arufa Okami, the Alpha Wolf of the Land of Water, and you are my prey." he said, as his tattoo lit up and snakes rained from his mouth.

Though the snakes didn't do much damage to the nukennin besides small bites, it caused a distraction. As the snakes flew, the man dropped the knife, covered his eyes, and released an involuntary yell. Taking advantage of the moments, Arufa kicked the nukennin in the stomach, causing him to fly back before his spine clashed into a bamboo stalk. Arufa then jumped to his feet and felt shooting pains from his bruised and broken ribcage. This caused him to fall to one knee, but regaining his stance immediately after. He then began weaving hand signs, albeit slower than usual, and yelled "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" as flames flew from his masked mouth.

As the flames blinded his vision, Arufa could only hope his target was engulfed in them. However, as he blew the flames, he noticed that they were being split in half, by a strong burst of air. He then jumped into the air and swung around a piece of bamboo and extended his leg, trying to kick the man. Despite his speed, his leg was caught by the nukennin, who then tried to break it. With quick reflexes, he bent his leg, bring him closer to the nukennin and pulled out his knife and stabbed the man in his ribcage. The nukennin spit up blood on Arufa's leg and spun him around, slamming his back into the bamboo. Though the impact was painful, the adrenaline masked the pain as excitement, and Arufa jumped directly to his feet.

Seeing the man crouched over in pain, Arufa took advantage of the short moment by drawing his crossbow and holding it at the man. When he saw, the nukennin held his hand up and yelled "Wait! Stop, please! I surrender, and I'll accept my punishment in Enmugakure..." he said. Arufa thought it over for a moment, then held out his crossbow with one arm and pinned the man's hand to the tree. He let out a loud yell as blood dripped from his wounded hand. Throwing the crossbow over his shoulder, Arufa said "Sorry, that's not an option. However, I'll make sure your death is painless." as lightning began forming on his right hand.

"No, no! Please!" the nukennin yelled, as Arufa stepped closer. "I'll do anything!" he begged once more. "Oh shut up and die with some dignity." Arufa said. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is Arufa Okami, the alpha wolf of the Land of Water, when I lay my vengeance upon you!" he said, jolting forward to the pinned Nukennin.

As he was running at incredible speeds with his chidori, he took down several of the bamboo trees. As he hit the nukennin, he aimed his hand for his hand for the man's face, causing it to get stuck in the new face in the nukennin's face. Pulling it out, he summoned a snake and instructed it to swallow the body and take it to the Water Diaymo, which he agreed to and did so, then leaving. In the solitude of the now empty forest, Arufa looked at his bloody hand and had a memory of his mother, causing him to wince. He then went to the ice bridge and used a katon jutsu to melt the water, in which he washed his hand in. After he felt his was clean, he threw his crossbow on his back and fixed his clothes and began walking back to the village.

Walking back into the village, the sky was transforming from purple to dark blue, signifying that the sun was rising. Noticing Arufa, the several active guards gave him a nod, which he simply ignored, continuing his walking. Once inside his apartment near the Mizukage's mansion, he took off his cloak, revealing his scar and causing his long, black hair to fall to his back. Observing his ribs, he noticed that one of his bones was poking his now purple skin. Grabbing four painkillers from his dresser, he wrapped his ribcage up and shrugged the injury off, going to bed.
