Hyuuga, Kirishima had managed to earn a day off. She had been suspicious though due to way in which her mother had given it to her. They had been sitting at the table eating dinner. Well Kirishima had been eating, Hitomi had been going over some paperwork and some of her more powerful shinobi allies were dropping in and out to deliver scrolls before leaving. Her mother and put down a new scroll as her daughter had finished her meal and told her about the day off. Dumbfounded Kirishima agreed as she had no choice.
So here she was walking around the village aimlessly looking for something to occupy her time. Stopping by the academy she saw that one child had managed to somehow use a fire nature jutsu. The instructor had berated the girl with black hair. The young girl in question seemed to of been an Uchiha to which Kirishima sighed. "They are quite the overachievers."

The instructor settled the class before getting a child to gather enough paper for everyone. Giving one to the Uchiha first the instructor told the kid to focus their chakra into the paper while holding it. The paper burnt to a crisp to the classes surprise. The sensei told them that was one of the ways to determine someones nature of chakra and that everyone had their own nature. One kid did this straight away to which the paper turned to dirt and fell to the ground. The instructor told the child he had an Earth affinity. After this everyone did it as fast as they could creating different results. The sensei calmed them down once more before in forming them all of what each one meant. If it burnt they had a Fire nature. If it was cut in two they had a Wind Nature. If it was crinkled up they had a Lightning nature. If it was turned to dirt they had an Earth nature. Finally if it became damp and soggy they had a Water nature.

Kirishima realized that the instructor was not supposed to be teaching them this as it could be dangerous but understood why she had explained it to the children. Hastily informing them of the dangers the young Hyuuga left the academy. Arriving at her home she found a piece of paper and focused her chakra into it. The paper crinkled up instantly. Smiling to her self the girl realized she had a Lightning style Chakra nature. Her father had the same nature with made her a little upset as she remembered he wouldn't be able to teach her about the new thing she had discovered about her self.
Heading out to the training ground in the Hyuuga compound she tried to think of a way to use lightning in her techniques. She knew her mother had Water and Wind for her natures so she wouldn't be any help. Focusing her chakra towards her palm she activated her Byakugan. Her eyes showed her what her hand felt. The tingling sensation was that of lightning chakra in her palm.

Moving towards a training dummy she struck the thing with her palm. The lightning chakra fizzled out and didn't have much of an effect. She repeated this over and over. She realized that instead of striking in normally like she would with her Juuken Ryuu she actually had to make an effort to get it to work.
As the day wore on the Training dummy had a hole in it the size of her palm with tips near the hole singed a little bit. Her palm strikes were effective as ever but her Nature manipulation was harder then she thought. While the sun dipped over the horizon she went back to the academy to speak with the instructor.

She spoke to the instructor about what she had seen them do today at which point the instructor got a little worried he was being blackmailed. However Kirishima felt she was above that and simply asked how she could better master the nature manipulation. Showing him her technique the Hyuuga amazed the Jounin at how well she had picked it up. "My mother has a Water nature as well as a Wind nature. But I don't know of anyone with a Lightning Nature like my self." The man smiled knowingly before withdrawing a piece of paper in his hands and looking at it. The paper crinkled to the Hyuuga's surprise. "You do now. All you have to do is vibrate your chakra more." Holding his hand out for the girl to see he focused on his hand. The lightning danced between his finger tips as the Hyuuga watched on with her Byakugan. Focusing on her own attempt she willed the vibrations to increase. However not knowing her own strength the Lightning leaped out of her hand before striking the man who cancelled it out with his own lightning.

"I'm sorry. You knew that was going to happen?" The Hyuuga looked amazed. The man already had the technique ready to stop it. "It happens to everyone. Raiton requires specific control to use effectively. The precise amount of vibration is unique for each jutsu. Too much will cause an accident while too little will result in nothing. Off you go now, return to me after you have mastered your technique." With that the man left to return to his own house. Kirishima walked herself home concentrating chakra to different levels of vibration all the way home. Upon returning she knew dinner would be ready soon and that her days would return for normal. Quickly runnning out to the training ground she picked a new target, activated her Byakugan and pretended the target was an actual human body. As she struck she wanted the lightning to spread all over the body effectively nullifying the chakra network of the make believe foe.
The lightning surged through the body reaching the tips in all the right places. Happy with her self she struck it four more times in succession each with the same result. It seemed like she was a natural and was making good progress. Returning to her house she thought that her day off had been rather fulfilling and decided to name her new ability Raishou.
