“Mizukage, please, calm yourself,” the Hokage said with a frown. She had expected the Mizukage to be calmer, but it seemed everyone at this table could prove a surprise. The Raikage sounded like she was trying to negotiate a price for helping, while the Tsuchikage, who's voice surprised Hitomi, gave a reason to why it could be that his village had been targeted in the first place, all the while playing around with his blood... Hitomi would have to keep an eye on this one. Then the Kazekage spoke, telling the story of two nukennin who had been doing the same thing to his village.
“Idou … Houzuki,” the Hyuuga noted, looking over at Chikage. “The Houzuki are so far unaligned, but the Idou are part of your village, are they not?” she asked in a harsher tone than she intended. Hopefully he would not see it as an accusation. "There are rumors that they have been in Hi no Kuni as well. If this is truly the work of the same people, then maybe we truly should lend each other a hand, as it seems to be a widespread problem."

"Hm... I see where you're coming from then... well, Tsuchikage, I've seen reports on your area. They may not have attacked Douketsugakure directly, but they did attack Tsuchi no Kuni, and I know that for a fact!" Ikanobori flashed an annoyed look at the Tsuchikage. "You, Raikage, I'm not asking for assistance. I can handle these lowlifes by myself, I'm just on the clock to take them out as quick as I can, and get started on my newest project of Enmugakure... it's nothing that will affect your villages, just something for... extra protection." Ikanobori put his feet on the table, his hands behind his head, and laid back. He happily accepted the snack from the staff member, and he gobbled it down as quickly as it was served. When the staff asked if he wanted another he waved his hand in a declining motion, and drew a stick of gum from his own pocket and started munching on that instead. "So... Hitomi, Shomei, Chikage. What do you purpose we do about these... hooligans?" Ikanobori waited for their response and put a pipe in his mouth. A difficult task for a normal person to chew gum and blow clouds out of a pipe, but Ikanobori had been doing it for so long he'd grown used to it. Odd... Ikanobori thought, the Raikage, Yuri, she's the only one that hasn't been attack....

Yuri sighs, and takes another drink, this time setting the cup to one side. "Your loss. Now, as for the business of these nukennin." She once more steeples her fingers. "My village has yet to be struck, but given their movements, it seems inevitable. And it worries me." She turns to Shomei. "You say that you sent two of your top shinobi after them? Are you aware of their location then? Nukennin attacks on villages are... worrying. This should not be happening so frequently. We need to capture and quiz them on their motives. If something greater is afoot, we should be at least aware of it." She stands up. "To that effect, I will be sending my best to assist with their capture and retrieval. No more, no less. If Shomei is right, and we have their location fixed, then I can afford to loosen my defences a little. I propose then they be brought back here, seeing as our dear Hokage seems so happy to take charge in these matters, and interrogated. Any thoughts?"

Chikage raised his head so that his eyes were on level with the Hokage's. Rather then bite at her bait the Tsuchikage responded in kind. "The Idou are of my village yes. Idou, Kumo is Itsuki's brother and as such has informed me as much as he can. My Assistant can accompany the hunt if you need my place in it. They are well informed of the Idou and their abilities as well." Pausing for a moment Chikage spoke once more. "I believe two different Nukennin were recently in my village. They were only there for a short while but I figured I should raise the point while we are all being so open. I'm more then happy to follow the Nara's plan. After all thats what they are known for."

As he listened to the Kage, majority of whom agreed, Shomei was over joyous. He took a large sip of his sake and gestured for a refill. He then told his fellow Kage "Thank you all for your help. Such a deed is not easily forgotten by the Uzumaki and Sabakugakure. Please, if you need anything, feel free to ask." he said, taking another sip of his sake. He then began to wonder as his mind wandered. "In the word scent... is the S or the C silent? Sent... Cent..." he thought, as his face showed obvious signs of confusement. Remembering where he was, he shook his head and apologised for the moment of idiocy.

“I will take on the task of interrogating these Nukennin, should they be captured,” Hitomi said, when the Raikage proposed they were brought back to Taiyougakure. It seemed they had all agreed to share information and help each other on the matter, to which Hitomi was happy, though she did not show it. Peace between the villages was important, and being able to work together would surely help keep the peace.
“Anyway,” she then started, “Now that that's done, I would like to talk about something else.” Leaning forward, she rested her elbows on the table and interlocked her fingers in front of her. “I would like to propose a common Chuunin Exam. So far, the villages and clans have held their own Chuunin exams, but I would like if we could hold it together, as a show of good faith and as a way to test our ninja against each other.”

Ikanobori laid back and relaxed in his chair. He placed his arms behind his back, and fed himself food using chakra to roll it up from the plate to his mouth, slowly but surely. "Hm... yesh I guesh that could be a good ideh... mmm... Hitomi, these snacks are delicious. Hm, okay," Ikanobori continued his conversation when he had his mouth empty, "Yeah, Enmugakure is all for this Inter-Village Chuunin Exams, how about you Raikage?" He looked at the raikage as he said it. He began to eat more snacks, and they tasted delicious. Ikanobori popped his pipe back into his mouth, as he finished the snacks, and began to puff more clouds into a small little area around his head and made them fly around, amusing himself.

Yuri sighs. Was she really still trying to claim a dominance over everything? She bit her tongue for now though. "Really, I don't know if I can consent to that until I have hear everyone elses opinion on the matter. It sounds worryingly like a plot to get all of our most talented shinobi in one area..."

Chikage listened to the Raikage's little statement of worry before chuckling softly. "You shouldn't be worried about something like that if your finest shinobi can handle themselves. This collaborative Chuunin exam seems like it will be interesting. I believe they should undertake our own individual tests within our respective villages before meeting up and engaged in friendly competitions matched at random for everyone to see." The Tsuchikage stood after this statement and looked around the room. "Time goes on and we all have our respective villages to return to. I thank Hitomi for her hospitality and pitch forward the idea of concluding this meeting. Messengers can be sent peacefully between us in an effort to share information on the Nukennin as well as preparations for the Chuunin exams." Chikage tipped his hat slightly to Hitomi before moving to leave the room.

Shomei listened around the table, hearing the answers of the Kage, and studying them in the process. When it was his turn, he took a sip of his newly-refilled sake once more. "I would be in favour of testing our genin together. It would fill them with ideals of peace and friendship, if all goes well. We could even rotate it between villages each year." he said, backing up the Hokage's plan. "I will send a messenger to each of you, to discuss the Chuunin exams, as well as peace between our villages and the nukennin. I look forward to our years of peace and prosperity to come." Shomei said, bowing and attempting to shake the hand of each Kage before beginning the journey back to Sabakugakure.
