1v1 Kage Duel!

Seeming to emerge from the shadows themselves, stands Yuri. Her arms folded, she stares at Ikanobori. If you didn't know better, it would appear as if she has always been stood there, give how still she is stood. Her expression is hard, one of annoyance and readiness. "Why did you call me here." Straight to the point, as usual. No beating around the bush with this one. The staring could be unnerving to someone who knows the Nara. She isn't planning anything. So has she already planned her victory, and is that certain of it? Who knows.

She sighs. "So you were serious about a fight then." She closes her eyes and shakes her head. He really thought he could challenge her? Well, it wasn't an unprepared for eventuality. In fact it was the most prepared for. Stands to reason, really. Eyes opening, she returns to staring at him, her arms still folded. "Very well. If it is a fight you want, then a fight you shall receive." Almost before she has finished her sentence, the tendril that she had prepared before hand flung a kunai directly at him from above at startling speed. If he tries to dodge, it will likely pierce his shadow (It is prepared with Kagemane Shuriken no Jutsu. Don't metagame that knowledge, but if it hits his shadow he will be stuck.)

The winds fly at Yuri, who remains stood there, arms folded. Which to a more observant type would beg the question; How did she form the seals to perform a jutsu with her arms folded? The clone evaporates from the attack, and the ground rumbles, exploding behind him to reveal an hand holding a kunai, similarly marked. She drives it into the ground, piercing the shadow, before the arm disappears back underground. The kunai has an explosive tag tied onto it.

From underground, she can sense the power of her jutsu weakening over Ikanobori. "Shit... Think Yuri, think..." A plan forms in her head. Sensing that the kunai is still just barely holding on to his shadow, she forms the seal to detonate the explosive tag, right next to him. At the very least it should stand as a distraction. In the flash of light and smoke, she bursts out of the ground in the midst of the shadows, throwing a shuriken in his direction, and sprinting off. Where she runs off, it looks like no grass is being disturbed, no leaves rustled or branches shook.

Yuri saw the massive wave come surging towards her. She thought to herself, "What? Did he see through the ruse?" There was no time for her to do anything. The Yuri running was a clone, and she had planned on him noticing it was a clone, and looking for her elsewhere. Meanwhile, she would hide in the shadows around the clone, and escape to a further distance, to set another trap. It seems though that the ruse didn't work, and the wave would wash away all the trees, breaking up the shadow and revealing her. She threw herself with all the speed she could muster sideways, towards the edge of the jutsu. She makes it just to the edge as the shadows are blown apart, shoving her back into visibility. She is slammed away, bouncing off a tree and skidding along the ground. It was only the edge of the technique, but it still took a lot out of her.

She was mentally going over everything as it happened. "That was a high level technique, so the chakra load must be intense. Its unlikely he can perform that again any time soon, so theres that. Injured but still functioning. Unsure of his status. He could be anywhere..." The water continued to drive her out, until it finally lost all momentum, leaving her lying under the shadow of a tree, eyes closed and panting from exertion, seemingly injured, or perhaps thinking.

Yuri appeared to struggle in pushing herself up. Her legs tremble, and she holds on to the tree next to her for support. Shes still panting, and seems to be injured quite a lot. She peers in his direction, seeing him charge. "Time for one last... go... Retsudo Tenshou!" She thrusts her palm towards him, almost falling over in the process. The ground begins to spiral underneath him, dragging him down if he doesn't jump to avoid it. It is slow though, almost as if she is almost out of Chakra.

Yuri raises up her hand, as if to block the blade, which would have been silly. Instead, her hand brushes against the wrist of Ikanobori, and the clone disintegrates, falling to the ground in a puddle of shadows, leaving Ikanobori frozen in place for the time being. There are shadows abound though, and there is no tell tale shadow trail leading to the source.
