Tengai Ryuusei was sitting quietly, meditating on a rock in the middle of a wild river. An enormous cascading waterfall could be seen behind him, falling from a tall cliff side which seemed to envelop the area he was in. The ground to either side of the river was rocky and jagged.
He had been sitting here for hours, waiting for something to happen. It was not that he was waiting for something specific, but he could feel that he was supposed to be here, he just did not know when and why. Legs crossed, hands resting on his knees, he sat with his eyes closed, with his shakujou resting on his wrists.
Suddenly, however, he thought he sensed being watched, opened his eyes and called out: “Show yourself!”

Itsuki was strolling through the forest, and he heard a nice, soothing waterfall nearby, and he wanted to get a better look if any enemies were near it or not, so that he could set up camp for the day. Itsuki activated his Saibougan, and was disappointed when he saw a figure, seemingly meditating, with a large staff on his wrists. Itsuki then headed towards the figure, through the forest he was in. When he emerged from the forest, concluded that the figure was a man, and was sitting on a rock in between a rapid water river, behind the in front of the waterfall. Itsuki then mimicked the man, by jumping upon another, equally sized, rock that was only 3 feet away from the other. "It's not very intelligent of a shinobi, like yourself and I, to tell our full name, so instead you can have the important part. My name, is Itsuki, and that will be all you know for now. So, are you friend or foe? I wonder..." said Itsuki to the mysterious new opponent/companion.

Ryuusei did not move as the man came closer, jumped into the valley and onto a rock only three feet from the one he was sitting on, apparently mimicking his movement, or rather, lack thereof. He then chuckled a lifeless chuckle, void of any true emotion.
“And what makes you think me a Shinobi?” he asked. “What if I was but a monk, seeking enlightenment?” He paused, closed his eyes and attempted to answer the man's question. “You may call me by the name Ryuusei, for it is the name I was given, my … mortal name. And friend or foe? I wonder as well. What do you believe the answer is?”

"I'm not sure, you were speaking rudely to me earlier, when you sensed my presence, so I'm not sure if you're friend or foe." Itsuki looked up and down at his new acquaintance, and then began talking again, "And how I can tell that you're a shinobi... well... let's just say, true power is in the eyes of the beholder, eh?" Itsuki decided, inside his own head, that this person may not be an enemy, but he wanted to have a respectful spar with them. "Please, Ryuusei, would you do me the honor of having a respectful spar with me?" Itsuki asked, as he drew his katana.

“I merely demanded you showed yourself, rather than hide in the shadows,” Ryuusei said calmly, as he listened to the other ninja avoid his question. Shrugging it off, he was asked for a spar, to which he replied quite simply: “Very well.”
Standing up, he moved onto the riverbed, shook his sleeve and caused a handful of papers to enter the palm of his left hand, while his right hand was still holding onto his shakujou. “Since you asked for this spar to happen, I will request that you move first,” he said, before doing a respectful bow.

"Very well..." Itsuki said, he then put his katana in his right hand and held it away from his body and at the river bank where Ryuusei seemed to be walking, before he reached the shore Itsuki had already preformed his first jutsu. He preformed Hien and made his blade have an invisible extension. Itsuki dashed after Ryuusei and slashed at him with blinding speed of his Katana. Hakahori was waiting patiently to be used in the fight, but Itsuki would have to wait to use it... later.

Ryuusei looked at the man as he drew his blade and elongated it with chakra, running at him before doing a slash of his sword, which was blocked easily, as the man had flicked a seal paper in between his fingers and caused it to stiffen with chakra, which then extended like a blade capable of haling the swords advance.
He then proceeded to lash at at the opponent with his shakujou. It would hurt, but no where near end the fight, should the attack succeed, but it would be a reminder for the other to not jump head long into fights with people he did not know the strength of.

Idou Itsuki saw the enemies staff coming at him from his left side. Itsuki hardened his arm to be as strong as diamond using his chakra, in a similar form his Saiboubuki Henka: Tsurugi, but in a way where he didn't transform his arms into weapons. Instead he just made a defensive move and continued from that, the enemies staff like weapon bounced off Itsuki like it was nothing. "You are a worthy adversary, I'm looking forward to this fight." he continued, while he then preformed Saiboubuki Henka: Daikyuu as he dashed away from Ryuusei quickly and shot one of each type of Cell Arrows at Ryuusei: Hirudokuya, Tekkoudan, and Ryuudan.

Ryuusei was surprised that the man simply seemed to harden his body. Fascinating ability, he though, as he pulled away, just as Itsuki did, before the latter reformed their arm into a grotesque boy and fired three arrows in rapid succession.
The first, Ryuusei simply deflected with his Shakujou, while the second, while it was sent off course, destroyed the staff, leaving the man to avoid the last, which he did, by quickly forming seals and replacing himself with a nearby rock.
Once replaced, the man clasped his hands together and released a wave of mud from his mouth, aimed directly at the adversary. If it stuck, it would almost instantaneously harden and restrict, or even completely stop, any sort of movement. "Doton: Doronami."

Itsuki saw the mud rush at him quickly, but he wasn't sure if had enough time to preform his own jutsu quick enough, the second guessing was his downfall. He didn't have enough time to react, until the mud covered him completely, left him defenseless, and hid him completely in mud. Hidden completely by mud... I may be able to use this to my advantage! Itsuki thought, as he quickly preformed Doton: Dochuu Senkou while hidden in a hardened shell of mud. This Ryuusei guy won't even know I left, and I'll hit him from below! Itsuki thought with his master plan put in action, he had no doubts in his mind that he'd be the shinobi to walk away from this fight still breathing.

Ryuusei wiped his mouth, as he saw the mud strike true, overwhelming the other shinobi and causing him to be encased. Ponting a single finger at the cocoon of mud, an orb of electrical chakra appeared at his fingertip. “Raiton: Ikadzuchi,” he said calmly, before a powerful bolt of electricity fired itself from his finger, blasting the cocoon to bits. However, there was no Itsuki inside, only a hole in the ground from where he had made the hardened mud into liquid again.
Feeling threatened now, not knowing from where his opponent would attack, he jumped onto the raging currents of the nearby river, using his chakra to stay atop the water. Now he could not be attacked directly from below, unless the other ninja was content with swimming from the river floor to it's surface.

After tunneling around a bit, Itsuki activated his Saibougan to see through the earth. He saw his opponent looking left, and right, trying to find Itsuki, and ended up just jumping on the water. Hmph, you think that's going to protect you my friend? I think not... Itsuki created two clones from his Saibou Bunshin no Jutsu that remerged form the earth on both sides of the river. The real Itsuki, though, began tunneling beneath his target, Ryuusei, and was going to defeat him with a surprise attack, an attack from underwater! Itsuki began to dig the ground beneath Ryuusei, with his surprise attack, he was hoping to finish this battle.

The man watched as two version of Itsuki climbed out of the ground, before pulling out two shikifuda, hodling them out to either side. “Shikifuda: In'you Bunshin,” he said, releasing the seal papers, which then seemed to float in the air, until one of them was surrounded by a radiant white chakra in the rough shape of a fiery Ryuusei.
Just then, the chakra Ryuusei and the floating seal paper to the other side, moved quick towards the clones, the In Bunshin, invisible even to the opponents Saibougan converted chakra into electricity in its throat before releasing a wave of electric chakra, which, to Itsuki, would seem to appear from nowhere.
Meanwhile, the You Bunshin raced at the other clone, forming a rasengan on its hand before ramming it into the Itsuki right in front of it. The true Ryuusei waited in the mean time, keeping an eye out for the water...

"Hmph, I see you 'invisible' one." said one of the clone Itsuki's. He saw through the odd... chakra clones? The odd chakra clones that Ryuusei had set into play, Itsuki's Saibougan could see a seal paper in it's center. It may have been difficult to read it's moves exactly, but Ikanobori had a good enough accuracy that he could pull it off. Ryuusei's clone shot electricity that Itsuki almost mistook and thought it had came from nowhere, but he finally saw the 'invisible' clone again and dodged the electricity based jutsu. His other clone was much more visible, but it had packed a more powerful attack. A Rasengan, and Itsuki wasn't quick enough to respond, his clone was hit dead center in the chest, but instead of Itsuki flying back into a nearby tree and dying, the Rasengan hit a lump of grey mass. Itsuki had to think quickly, he was waiting for a strike attack from below, but his friend above was waiting for it, Itsuki looked through the earth and saw a bird flying overhead from Ryuusei. Perfect... he thought, as he used Kawarimi no Jutsu with Saibou Henka to transform into that bird above Ryuusei so he wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Ryuusei watched as his clones carried out their attacks, with one turning into grey mush, that splattered the ground, as the Rasengan grinded into it, while the other, somehow avoided the electrical charge. Either that was the real one, or he had not shown himself yet. Keeping an eye on the water below, he stood still.
The clones however, went for the last Itsuki, with the visible one joining the other on the opposite riverbed. However, they did not attack, but simply stood, waiting, guarding the real Ryuusei. That was when the monk noticed something unusual.
Eyeing movement in the water, he noticed a bird suddenly coming to the surface, flapping away for dear life. How did it get there? He thought for a second, before he turned his eyes up, noticing a single bird. “Raiton: Ikadzuchi,” he said, as he threw his hand upwards, sending a bolt of electricity into the air, directly at the bird...
