Taki walked towards the gate of the village with her gloves on and a mission scroll in hand. Her soft eyes fell onto a man standing by a cart loaded with various goods. The man stood slightly taller then Taki and was only older then her by a few years by her calculations. The blond man seemed somewhat upbeat about the glaring sun which the Uzumaki thought was odd. "Heya there. I'm looking for the merchant that requires an escort?" Looking forward to her mission the girl tucked the scroll into her shirt. "Ah yes that would be me young lady." The man responded to her in kind with an air or carelessness about him. She asked him how far away he was traveling to which he replied. The trip would take them two days through low risk paths or a day if they traveled through the more likely locations of bandits. The man doubted her ability but didn't tell her so he decided on the safer route.
After a few last minute preparations they set off.

After a couple of minutes of walking the man began to grow bored before striking up a conversation with the young girl. Asking her about how she became a ninja and what lead to her choices in life. Taki was caught a bit off guard but answered nonetheless. The man changed topic slightly questioning her abilities almost outright. Taki feared the man felt he was unsafe and as such hastily confirmed that she was a good choice for this mission. The young Uzumaki remained blissfully unaware of anything sinister that might of been going on.
Taki began to grow a little curious of the questions which the man sensed and changed topics to the weather. Keeping her suspicion in the back off her mind she made small talk with him to pass the time on the journey.

At the end of the first night Taki believed them to be about halfway to their destination and with that she caused a halt to their progress. Making a small camp together her and the man sat around a fire talking about the future and the past. The man began to sleep while Taki kept watch. She changed watches with him during the night but stayed awake for a while afterwards to make sure she could trust him. The night passed with no complications and the two set out early so they could make their destination before nightfall.

During the second day Taki felt like something was off. They had left the main part of the desert and the country had turned into more of a forest. While it wasn't that thick it was quickly becoming that way. All of a sudden the merchant she was supposed to be escorting took off running at full pace. "Hey what are you doing?" The girl took off after the man easily catching him. As he turned around he withdrew a Tanto from concealment. A few bandits dropped down from the trees and Taki counted 6 in total. Comments were made to who she thought was a merchant about how he had bagged a pretty one and that they could have some fun first. The sneers angered the girl immensely.
"Wakamono no Moeru Ken." Taki said this to herself as she dropped her gaze. Punching her fists together they ignited with a blue flame. Slowly raising her head her eyes burnt with a fiery hate towards these foreign bandits trying to dupe her and do who knows what. The bandits hesitated at the flame before one of them lunged at her with a knuckle buster. Taki went into battle mode and sidestepped the punch. "Too slow." Using a quick jab to the man's stomach it left a burning sensation and a hole in his shirt. Taki moved into action after this. Stepping forward she punched the man twice more. Once to his throat and the other to his temple. His face a smoldering mess she dared the others to move to his aid.

Of course the fools did move. The first one ate a burning knuckle sandwich which burnt his lips and loosened some teeth. The fool that was accompanying him lost sight of the girl as she ducked under his guard threw a punch to the side of his ribs and then extended her body striking him on the chin. With three down and three to go the remaining foes surrounded her. The leader with a Tanto and the other two with Katanas. "You are quite good with your hands girly. I wonder how good you are with your mouth?" The sneers hit home as the fire on her fists died down. A fake smile crept up her face as she lent towards the man. "How about a demonstration then?" Running straight for the man Taki jumped over his head as he slashed the air where she had been a moment ago. The other two had followed her as soon as she had moved and as such they were left standing as a trio as Taki landed. Pivoting on the spot she focused a great portion of her chakra into her mouth as she let free an enormous sea of flames. The men screamed as all 6 of them were consumed by the fire.

The intense heat had managed to gouge a large portion of the trees around here out painting the scene in a blackened ash. Angered she returned home with all of her haste. Making it home as the sun faded below the surrounding dunes Taki walked towards the instructor that had given her the mission before holding up some burnt rags. "This is all that's left of your 'Merchant'." Storming off with her pay check Taki returned to her house to wash the smell of ash from her clothes. Standing there in almost nothing she noticed that Shinpo was out the back making a castle of sand. The young child hadn't a care in the world. Washing her self thoroughly Taki clothed herself and went out to play with her little cousin.
