The day after his fight, Arufa saw that his injuries were no longer ignore-able as his skin was turning pale. Swallowing his pride, he finally went to the Enmugakure hospital. When he arrived, he was approached by a man who seemed to be young, around his own age. "Hello. I am Arufa Okami, royal guard of the Water Diaymo. I require assistance from injuries sustained from my last mission." He said, pulling up his shirt to show his broken rib, which was poking out from his severely bruised rib. As he finished his sentence, he passed out, falling face first onto the ground.

Mitsu eyed the shinobi that entered, looking more than half dead on his feet, before the teenager approached him, explained who he was, and then lifted his shirt - revealing an injury that was at least two days old, and was severe enough the male was lucky to be alive. He yelped when the teen began to pitch forward, half lunging to catch the other shinobi before his face hit the floor and risked compounding the injuries he had.
He hefted the other into a hold that would minimally aggravate the injuries, especially in the torso area, He gave one of the junior medics a sheepish smile as he passed, asking, "Can you bring...four blood replenishment pills, a soldier pill some bandages, a bowl and a scalpel to room 6?" The girl nodded, eyes wide as she bolted past.
He set Arufa, as the teen had introduced himself, on the table of room 6, before shifting his chakra to his hand and aligning it to medical chakra. He ran his hand, from top of head to the soles of his feet, scanning for injuries beyond the obvious. Minor concussion, but a punctured lung, more than a bit of internal bleeding, some fractured vertebrae, and a fraction in one leg...and an infection.
He sighed, shaking his head at the fact Arufa had been walking around like this -which while impressive, was really, really silly- before placing his hand over the fractured vertebrae, pushing fragments of bone back into place, and away from nerves, as the junior medic came in, setting the tray on the table, before bowing out of the room. Taking a scalpel off the tray, he moved to push what blood he could back into vessels and resetting the rib, nudging the bone back into the skin. Comparing the amount of blood that was alive that had pooled, he shook his head, taking a moment to make the unconscious man swallow two of the blood replenishment pills. He waited a few seconds for the pills to kick in, before using the scalpel to make an incision in between the ribs, and drawing the blood that had been gathering in the chest cavity out of the patient's body.
He took a moment to recheck the patient's body, and shook his head, resigning himself to taking the soldier pill as he resumed his work.
...
Three or so hours later he flopped down in the the chair of the hospital room the patient had been placed in, feeling more than slightly exhausted. The amount of injuries that were current, combined with the old ones had meant that each time he healed something, it was like scraping of a layer of paint to find more beneath. On the plus side, it HAD given him a chance to put Kaifuku into action, and he could see if it made any sort of impact... It should, at least, get rid of aches that person have been so accustomed to that they subconsciously catagorized them as 'normal.'
Which was why he was waiting for this guy to wake up...that and to tell him that walking around that badly off was just plain ridiculous.
One of his coworkers poked his head in the door and, grinning asked, "Hey, Mitsu, wasn't your shift over an hour ago? C'mon let's go to a bar, and get oden."
He waved him off, grinning back exhaustively, "Aa, go ahead without me, Eiji. I wanna make sure this guy wakes up alright, and ask him some things." Eiji shrugged but pulled his head back out the door calling, "If you change your mind, we'll be at the usual places."
Mitsu turned his attention back the the patient, watching him for any signs of waking.

Awaking from his rest, Arufa's immediate reaction was to bolt up. However, his sitting up motion was stopped by several new tubes on his body. Realising where he was, he laid back down, feeling incredible pain in his spine and side. Looking down towards his leg, he noticed that it was also bandaged. Putting together the pieces of the admittedly hazy last few days. Looking over to the man on his side, he identified his as the man who helped him. After a few seconds of silent staring, he finally spoke and said "Thank you for your assistance. I may have told you, but I am Arufa. I was injured while assassinating a nukennin..." he said, feeling the need to explain the several injuries he noticed, "do you mind telling me what's injured?" he finished

Mitsu met the younger shinobi's stare for the several seconds it took for the other to speak, tilting his head in acceptance at the explanation of the source of the injuries. At the question he began to list the injuries, "When you came in, your recent injuries consisted of a minor concussion, a punctured lung, three broken ribs, one fractured, internal bleeding in the left lung and torso cavity, fractured vertebrae, a fractured leg, and an infection as well as some "minor" heart damage." He leaned forward, continuing, "Underlying under that, you had evidence of several past concussions, several badly healed breaks, old bruising in your lungs, dehydration, and very slight malnutrition, as well as the general wear and tear associated with living, but at an amount that would usually be found in some one approximately ten years your senior even within the shinobi population."
He waited a long moment for the list of injuries and maladies to settle in, before explaining, "You are very lucky that you came in when you did, given that it would have been a toss up on whether the blood loss, pressure on your heart, drowning in your own blood, or your blood going septic had killed you, otherwise."
He stood up -slowly, so as not to startle the man- and stated, "Right now, everything should be healed except for the dehydration, and malnutrition, two of the IV's being the solution to those issues, with the third being pain medication. That being said, you probably have some residual muscle stiffness and pain in your side and spine, maybe a headache or nausea. The leg is wrapped more as a reminder to rest it, and to compress it to help reduce pain. Now, I need to do an exam, care to tell me how your feeling other than the residual pain, while I do that? Follow my finger without moving your head."
He moved his pointer finger across Arufa's field of vision, watching as he tracked it.

Listening to his issues, he was silent. He knew he had several issues, but this was insane. When he felt it was an appropriate time to speak, he simply responded "I've been in clan war and the shinobi lifestyle since I was 7. I've been a royal assassin, guard, and diplomat since I was 11. Being as poor as I was, I didn't have much of a choice. I had to support my fa- my mother, no matter the costs. I used to even live in the Diaymo Palace, here in the land of water. It was a luxiorious lifestyle, but the death of my mother gave me a very deep depression. Today, at 15, I'm still looked to for assassination, and I have PTSD. My life is not a good one... I would welcome death, but protecting the lives and livelihood of the villagers is more important than my own selfish needs, so I will willingly take the depression, PTSD, and injuries if it means I can help others."
Speaking so much and getting so personal was foreign to Arufa. Whether it was the connection he felt, being saved by this man, or the shit ton of medicine, he felt out of his element. Maybe this mad could be a friend after all. Following the man's finger, he sarcastically replied, "I feel amazing." with a slight chuckle. Did Arufa just laugh? Someone is fucking with the matrix...

Mitsu listen to the younger teen talk about his life, and hummed under his breath, waiting for the man's answer before replying, "I suppose with the residual pain, the effects of healing the older damage won't show right now." At Arufa's vaguely strained expression, he told his own tale, voice low, "I grew up for my early life as a member of a weapons merchant clan. When I was a child, the clan began to be systematically murdered. My father went out on a carvan and came back in a body bag... or several. I never asked. My mother basically withered away in grief after that." He paused, testing the shinobi's pull and push strength, wondering whether to continue or stop, before deciding he may as well continue, "The clan was still being targeted, during this, not that I cared beyond trying to convince her to live. My efforts were in vain, and one morning, she simply didn't wake up. A few months later, I went into the woods to gather ingredients for a relative, and got lost. By the time I had made it back to the compound, it had been raided." Blood stained tatami and walls flashed in his mind for a moment. "The people that hit the clan must have been slave traders, or wanted human resources in some way, because anyone under the age of forty was taken, and the rest were slaughtered where they had stood, and the bodies dumped in the clan hall."
He shuddered, eyes closing briefly, before finishing, "I spent six months with my only company being the dead, with even animals seeming to avoid the place, even as I did my best that a nine year old could do to bury the bodies. It took most of two months, the only reason I managed it being that they had more or less been dismembered. That sort of silence... some people have dreams of the noise of the battlefield, my own are haunted by that wretched silence."
He shook his head, before clearing his throat, and complimenting, "Compared to some cases of PTSD that we get in the hospital, your response is one of the more...perhaps not healthy, precisely, but better."

Listening to the man's story, Arufa felt feelings for once. It seemed that the shinobi world was colder than he thought. Shaking his head, he sat up. "I'm sorry to hear that..." he said, reflecting on it. Changing the subject, he asked "When am I cleared to leave? Also... what is your name?"

Mitsu gave an over-bright smile, chirping, "Ah, the ever constant question that plagues us from patients! 'How soon can I leave' just as common as 'Did it work?' and 'Is this actually food?'" He shakes his head, amusement on his features, before answering the questions, "You can leave as soon as you fill out the release paperwork, although you should limit heavy activity for three or so days- and you'll be getting a pamphlet that details what counts as heavy activity with the paperwork, something we came up with after one too many shinobi reinjured themself and complained about not knowing what counted as heavy activity." He paused in talking, before switching from his half teasing, half instructing tone to a more neutral tone as he handed over said paperwork and pamphlet, introducing himself, "I go by Genzen Mitsu, rank Jounin."

"Well..." Arufa said, attempting to stand before nearly falling. Using the bed as support, he stood up again. "I'll go do the paperwork." he finished. Now dressed and with Mitsu by his side, he filled out the paperwork. When finished, he was handed the pamphlet that detailed "heavy activity". Skimming it, he thanked Mitsu for the packet, despite knowing in the back of his mind that he'd just do what he wanted. Now cleared to leave, he instinctively went for the exit before remembering Mitsu. Extending his hand, he said to the man "Thank you for the help. I hope our paths cross again some day." before swiftly exiting, gone to rest for three days. Maybe Mitsu was right.
